The District helps cities and counties with quality-of-life projects. We provide technical assistance, planning, project development, and grant administration.

Types of PROJECTS Include:

• Fire Trucks/Fire Equipment

• Construction/Renovations of Fire Stations, Community Centers, Senior Centers, Youth Centers, Health Units, and Multi-purpose facilities.

• Water/Sewer New Construction and Rehab

• Parks/Trails/Beautification

• Storm Sirens

• Health Initiatives

• Drainage Projects

• Historic Preservation Projects

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

The District helps communities and companies that wish to create jobs in the following ways:

1. The District works with the Economic Development Administration (EDA) and the Delta Regional Authority (DRA) to assist cities and counties obtain infrastructure funding to help meet the expansion needs of local industries or potential new businesses wishing to locate in the area.

2. The District works with the Arkansas Economic Development Commission (AEDC) to administer projects in the manufacturing sector. The District is the facilitator for projects referred by the Business Development Team at AEDC. The goal of these projects is to create jobs for low to moderate income citizens.

• Equipment purchases

• Building expansions

• Transportation Improvements (Road, Rail)

• Utility Upgrades (Gas, Broadband, Water, Sewer, Electric)
